Gwen Muse-Evans offers customized presentations and trainings to motivate, inspire and educate audiences based on her tenure as a former C-Suite executive with Fortune 50 companies, her extensive experience in the financial services, housing and risk management fields, and her civic leadership targeted toward promoting equitable access to opportunities for all. Throughout her 25+ year career, Gwen has served as a mentor to many and is often called upon to speak on leadership, career and personal enrichment topics such as “Goal Setting for Success”, “Busting through Career Barriers” and “Your Money Matters: Financial Empowerment Series”. She has a special passion for promoting diversity and inclusion; advancing programs to empower women and children, improving; implementation of high-quality financial literacy programs for adults and children; and identifying solutions to prevent and end homelessness in this country.
Gwen has been a keynote speaker and panelist at numerous industry and trade conferences, most recently with the Mortgage Bankers Association, Independent Mortgage Bankers Association and National Association for Minority Mortgage Bankers of America. She has also been requested to speak as a policy expert at the Brookings Institute and various government agencies to help identify solutions to address the housing, credit and policy issues that result in disparate impact for segments of the population. Gwen promotes financial empowerment and works with educators and community organizations to extend financial literacy education to families, potential homebuyers, distressed homeowners and young people to develop effective financial management skills.
Gwen is the recipient of the 2018 Meritorious Service Award from the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, the 2017 Renaissance Woman Award from the National Association of Women in Real Estate Businesses and the 2017 National Women’s Small Business Governor’s Citation from the Governor of the State of Maryland.
In her free time, Gwen enjoys travelling, gardening, reading, hiking, music and family-time. Gwen serves on several Boards of Directors and civic service organizations. Gwen is a vocalist with the Washington Performing Arts Men and Women of the Gospel. She and her family reside in Bethesda, Maryland.
